The Technology Strategy Board's Innovations Platforms Project

The Technology Strategy Board is a UK Government agency which, amongst its other roles, funds collaborative research into key technology areas.

The vision for the Intelligent Transport Systems and Services Platform is for Britain to become "a world-leader in innovation in intelligent transport systems and services". The "Time, Distance and Place road pricing" (TDP) funding round was launched in parallel with the DfT's Road Pricing Demonstrations Project.

A number of projects were selected for funding at the end of 2007. The Trusted Driver project is one of the programs selected.
